HOW IS J SUITES DIFFERENT
J Suites is truly different from any other salon suites business. Unlike other corporate or franchised suite businesses, J Suites is a woman owned independent beauty collective.
CULTURE Our boutique salon and spa puts culture first, building our community suite by suite and fostering that community with events, classes, celebrations and more.
LUXURY We are also building the most luxurious salon suites in the business with attention to every detail that our owners want: from true privacy in each suite to our processing lounge. Our full time receptionist & concierge is onsite to support our owners and cater to their clients, giving our community the true high end salon and spa feel. AMENITIES Finally, we include more amenities in our rent than any other salon suites. Besides our beautiful build-out and the help of our receptionist, we include options for vacation or even maternity/paternity leave, should they be needed. Our salon will always sparkle as we clean the common areas daily and do a deep cleaning of each suite twice a month. And we have beverage service for our guests and the industry’s best salon and spa software for our owners, among so much more.
WHY IS IT
The most obvious answer to why "J" is that it refers to Sue's last name, but that was not why we decided on J Suites. Typographically, the letter J is pretty, but that was not why decided on J Suites. When looking for the right name for our new business, we were looking for something that would be easy for our suite owners to tell their clients, because it's really about them and their businesses.

Easy! But that also is not why we decided on J Suites. Once we said it aloud, J Suites sounded like "Je Suis" which means "I am" in French, and that felt so empowering.

Hello! I'm Sue Jacquette, founder of J Suites!
CREATING A BEAUTY COLLECTIVE
I have been in the salon suite business since it first came into the area in 2019. Pioneering some of the first suites to be built in the Philadelphia market with a corporate suite provider, I really listened to my salon suite owners once they opened to hear how their suites could run more efficiently. I also saw how I could push the idea of luxury even further while building my suites thoughtfully. And, having been a working mother myself, it was really important to me to create a community of support to give us all the ability to find a work-life balance that puts family first.

MY WORK-LIFE BALANCE
I am a bit of a workaholic, but I do try to find a balance that is right for me. I live in Philadelphia with my husband Jason, and our little
rescue dog, Roscoe. Our beautiful daughter, Jade, and her husband, Tarek, live in Allentown, PA, with their dog, cat and ducks! My girlfriends are incredibly important to me, so I try to make time for them, as much as possible, too. I love shoes a little too much, and I love movies so much I serve on the board of directors for the Philadelphia Film Society. As the daughter of immigrants, I formerly served as board chair for Nationalities Service Center. I volunteer with the Young Entrepreneurs Academy as a mentor to young aspiring entrepreneurs. I also enjoy traveling, sailing, cooking, skiing, hiking, paddleboarding, yoga, shopping, and a really good glass of red wine.
